WELCOMING YOU TO MRS. GILLENTINE'S CLASSROOM
Welcome to Jonesboro High School! I am very excited to begin this new journey with your students. I understand your students are going through many transitions during this time period, and I am here to help. This is a big year for most of the students because this is the first year they will be taking a Pre-AP or AP class. On this website students and parents can find lesson plans for their classes, readings for the week, and other helpful resources.
ABOUT AP CLASSES
AP classes are a great opportunity for students to be pushed in the classroom and be held to a higher standard. Students who take AP classes will take a test created by the college board in May at the end of the school year. Students have the opportunity to earn college credit for their AP classes if they pass their AP exam.
WAYS YOU CAN HELP YOU STUDENT
The best way you can help your students in their history classes is by asking the student about what they are doing in class, ask students about their assigned readings, and helping them study at home.
